Hair
Unshaven FUE
Follicular unit extraction planned so the donor area can stay longer, when the clinical plan allows it.
Overview
Unshaven or long-hair FUE is a variation of follicular unit extraction. It is not suitable for every pattern of loss. The treating team decides whether a limited shave, a partial shave, or a fully shaved session is safer for density and graft handling.
Who it may be suitable for
- Adults who want to discuss keeping donor hair longer during transplantation
- Patients whose loss pattern can be treated in a more limited session
Techniques
- Unshaven or long-hair FUE where indicated
- Standard FUE if a shave is clinically preferable
Procedure timeline
01
Remote review
Photos show whether an unshaven plan is even discussable.
02
In-clinic decision
The surgeon confirms shave extent before the session.
03
Procedure
Usually a single day, sometimes staged.
Recovery
- Recipient-area redness and scabbing are still expected
- Donor camouflage is not a substitute for aftercare instructions
Expected process
- 1. Share photos, medical history, and travel constraints with a coordinator
- 2. A clinician reviews suitability before any itinerary is confirmed
- 3. Transfers, hotel nights, and appointments are arranged if you choose a coordinated package
Is this treatment right for me?
This is not a medical diagnosis. Final suitability requires professional evaluation.

Questions
No. Larger sessions, certain donor types, and some hair-loss patterns need a conventional shave. The website cannot promise an unshaven result.
