Composite Veneers

Tooth-coloured resin bonded to enamel to chip-repair, close small gaps, or change shape — faster than ceramic, less durable, and easier to stain.

Overview

Composite veneers and bonding use resin built on the tooth in the chair or as thin shells. They can disguise a chip, a small gap, or a mild colour problem without the preparation a ceramic veneer often needs. They also wear, stain, and chip sooner than E-Max or zirconium, especially if you smoke, drink tea, or grind. This is not a Hollywood-smile substitute and it is not “reversible” in every case — enamel can still be adjusted. Meridia already lists ceramic veneers separately so patients are not sold the cheaper material as if it were porcelain.

Who it may be suitable for

  • Adults with limited chips, gaps, or shape concerns who accept a shorter lifespan than ceramic
  • Patients who can return for polish and repair, or who want a temporary look before committing to porcelain

Techniques

  • Direct chairside bonding
  • Indirect composite veneers when the dentist prefers a lab step

Colour and length are agreed in good light, not from a filter.

    Build or bond

Many cases finish in one longer visit; some need a second sit-down.

Recovery

  • Mild sensitivity is common. Avoid staining drinks for the window the dentist gives you.

Expected process

  1. 1. Share photos, medical history, and travel constraints with a coordinator
  2. 2. A clinician reviews suitability before any itinerary is confirmed
  3. 3. Transfers, hotel nights, and appointments are arranged if you choose a coordinated package

Is this treatment right for me?

This is not a medical diagnosis. Final suitability requires professional evaluation.

Can you travel to Istanbul and stay the suggested number of nights?
Do you have a known medical condition that might affect surgery or dentistry?
Can you share photos or X-rays for a remote review?

Questions

Often a few years with good care, not a decade like some ceramics. Repair is part of the deal, not a failure by itself.

No. E-Max is a glass ceramic. Composite is resin. Price, shine, and stain behaviour are different.
